Post sur Facebook de la part de la CPBS :

"SUSAN McCONNELL For a quarter of a century, Susan has been visiting Ireland and Clifden, so that, here in Connemara, we regard her as one of our own. We thought of Susan as coming home every Easter and August and not as an overseas visitor. Over the years she got to know the ponies and the breeders as she built up her own herd of Connemaras at Oakfield Farm in Virginia. Her enthusiasm and vision naturally led her to the ICCPS, with which she was synonymous and for which she acted as permanent secretary. Rather than seek the limelight, Susan worked steadfastly to enable others. Her altruism and understanding of the bigger picture set her apart and she was honoured with the Michael O’Malley Award for her services to the pony in 2018. Susan’s passing is a great blow to the worldwide Connemara Community. She was known and loved everywhere. It is sad to think that we will not meet again. We will miss her warmth, her friendship and support. We will miss that smile and for whom now the rhubarb pie? Our condolences and best wishes to Susan’s daughters and family. And what a loss to the ACPS! Go raibh tú ar dheis Dé, Susan."
